Marcus sort code.

Hi, I also recently set up an online Marcus account and tried to google the sort code for reassurance. Like you, I couldn’t find any info. I rang Barclays and asked them (being a customer of theirs) if they would investigate for me. The woman I spoke to asked me to hold, then came back to me and told me the sort code I’d given her came up as Goldman Sachs. So I felt more reassured after that.0

I was surprised it took so long for the Marcus balance to update after sending money into it from the linked account. In fact, I was worried it hadn't worked, as the first deposit took almost 15 minutes to show up in Marcus. Subsequent deposits have taken between 5 and 10 minutes to show up - still significantly slower than most other banks.0 -

Comments from other posters suggesting it's really quick led me to believe it would be at least as quick as any other bank, which is why after 15 minutes I was starting to think the transfer had failed. These days, 15 minutes is not "speedy". It's extremely slow.0 -
Well as they say fingerbobs, time is money :-)Space available for rent0

Thanks Jozafeen. Yes, you can't be too careful. You did right.0

Rather than all this rigmorall why not just keep cash in your house or glove box of your car? Or in your current account.
In all honesty, nobody in the U.K. has savings of over £85,000 just sat somewhere - this is England fgs, so the fcfsft will cover you up to 85k so just keep it in your current account0 -

I don’t believe more than 3% of the population have more than £85k in savings, this is England in 2018 where we are all broke and on the breadline0
