What do I say I want the money for?
I'm looking to remortgage - currently with the Northern Rock and they are wanting to farm out the remortgage to TSB owned Cheltenham & Gloucester - 5 year fixed rate 4.99% £995 arrangement fee: we have quite a bit of equity in our house (even factoring in a drop in house prices); and we would like to cancel out some credit…

Invisible House Deeds ???
I am hoping to pay off my mortgage shortly but when I rang the Halifax to ask how much they charged for looking after my house deeds they said they didn't hold any on my house. They said new houses sometimes don't have paper deeds (house is 7 years old) and they are not important anymore as everything is held at the Land…

Repayment of loan - Mortgage?
Two years ago, we funded, through a maturing investment, the purchase of a flat for our son. The flat is a low rise ex local authority in a reasonable part of central London. The price paid was…

On a Tracker? - How low do you reckon your rate with go?
Currently on a 2yr tracker with Nationwide at 0.07% below base rate. With rates expected to go down again next month I should get down to 2.68% which is the lowest it will go at its got a 2.75% BR limit In theory if rates keep going down there will be people around paying 2%, 1% or even less! Anyone in that situation?
