I've been turned down 4 times now for a card machine, reason - new business! It's so difficult trying to start a business, the bank wouldn't lend me any money, and now I have to turn work way as the customer wants to pay by card and I have no machine. Would like to know about other self employed/business owners offering their services what the best way of getting your name about is/which form of advertising you find is best. Name on van, flyer drop and ad in local paper being the most obvious. Word of mouth will come eventually once get some jobs from the above first.
