Legal agreement for hire of a building one day a week..??

Options
Hi all

Can anyone point me to an example of a hire agreement for hiring out a building one day a week? the agreement needs to cover issues around liability, a get out clause for each side in case the arrangement needs to be terminated, etc..

i have been looking at the hire agreements village halls use (as the building we want to use is owned by a charity and most village halls are charities) but wondered if there was anything else i should be looking at?

we will be hiring the building for one day a week every week and also will keep some equipment in the building ....which i know we need to write in something about this being left at our own risk, and covered by our own insurance etc..

the building we want to hire is owned by a charity who have never hired it out before, and we are a social enterprise with legal structure of Industrial and Provident Co-operative society...

has any one got an example hire agreement for a building i could look at ?

thanks

If you're leaving kit there, your insurance may also need to cover damage to the building and any other visitors/etc - what if your pain poisoned a playgroup or a ladder fell on top of someone.

hi the kit we are leaving is an fridge and a freezer (both emplty) - we can put a lock on freezer to make sure no-one falls in it.... and the other stuff might be some collapsable crates,....

i take you point though - and our equipt would be PAT tested etc...

any more ideas for what we might need spelt out?

how long notice to quit is usually given? obviously from our point of view we don't want to a weeks notice but what is a fair term?

    thanks

Who cares what's usually agreed/given - what deal can you do with the property owner? I would think a week's notice is more than fair from your side, pretty lousy from theirs!

Can the collapsible crates go in the locked freezer?
