Is there anyway to check what previous prices items have been on amazon? As they constantly change they're prices I'd like to know what they were before on a few items I have my eye on.

Buy 3 get cheapest 1 free
If I were to go to Boots and trigger this offer I would obviously get the cheapest free. If however I bought 6 items would I get the cheapest 2 (of the 6) free or would I get the cheapest and 4th cheapest free...Ie should I do it in 2 transactions...? I have been hoping to buy my nieces the Natural History Book but it's so expensive (£30!). However, have just found it for £14.99 on a website called The Book People- who also do cashback.
