Buy 3 get cheapest 1 free

If I were to go to Boots and trigger this offer I would obviously get the cheapest free.

If however I bought 6 items would I get the cheapest 2 (of the 6) free or would I get the cheapest and 4th cheapest free...Ie should I do it in 2 transactions...?

best way to do it is to organise it on the counter the way you want it to go through. SO,, say you have 3 things at £10 and 3 things at £5, in order to get the best deal you hand over the £10 things first and you will get one of them free, then do the £5 stuff. If you put it up any old fashion and the cashier puts through 2 x £10 then a £5 item you will only get the £5 item free. it seems to give you the cheapest of each set of 3 items free. Hope i've explained that properly. Not sure if that works online but definitely works instore

Boots tills are automatically programmed to give you the best offer! It puts them all into price order and you get every third item free Hope this helps, and saves you putting everything through in an order which takes longer

oh, that's interesting, coz previously i've been given the actual cheapest items free, hence i started doing that. wonder if its just my local store that was doing that then
