I researched Canadian Baffin boots and I am impressed with their following. I was on the point of buying Baffin Trapper boots on Ebay for £99.99, and £2.99 p&p and the supplier put their prices up to £129 on that very day I had decided to purchase them. I am retired, and these boots were at the limit of my budget for a good quality, long lasting. Footwear.
I have started suffering from chilblains and fear that my lifestyle could seriously damage my feet without good insulated footwear. I do voluntary work, e.g. I will be out on the streets this December with Santa's Sleigh collecting for charity and need very good foot wear. Since the 2007 floods I have help neighbours walk their dogs and look after horses for a lady who suffered terribly personal problems. The boots need to be waterproof as we could get further flooding in the future.
Crampons are also required for use on other shoes/boots for me and the wife to stop us slipping on the snow or ice. We usually take the dogs out three times a day.
I am presently looking at ex army snow boots, but the search is taking too long and stressful. I would appreciate any help to locate a cheap, good quality snow boot

Thank you

I use fleece-lined leather rigger boots bought from Screwfix for about £20. They are comfortable and easy to get on and off. My poultry make their run like Glastonbury pop festival but the boots have been ideal.:)0

Lidl on Monday 6th http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/lidl_uk/hs.xsl/index_15907.htm
I have been wearing a pair of these every bad snow for the last 4 years, still like new .
They have a felt and aluminium inner boot that pulls out for airing and drying, one of the best bits of footwear I have ever bought !

Hi, I don't know if you are sorted out with your Boots as I'm only just looking back on previous posts but I have posted on this thread about ordering some Baffin Snow Boots direct from America/Canada on Amazon.com. I was surprised how 'cheap' it worked out to buy internationally.
Hope it helps!
