Hi...I bought a pair last year from our local Costco, they were around the £25 mark. They are brilliant and very very warm. I noticed last week that they had them on the shelves again.
They are made by 'Khombu' and are plain black.:)

I bought these about a month ago and have found them to be terrible. They are very big for the size, don't keep my feet warm, the lining has ripped inside and they are leaking already. cold wet feet - yuck!
If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!
  • I too am looking for boots - not so worried about warmth but looking for good grip underneath - am a terrible "wuss" about slipping. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have just received the icicle ones from mountain warehouse and they seem good. £29.99 but they had a voucher so I think they cost me 27.99 inc delivery.

  • Another vote for the icicle boots from mountain warehouse. Received mine yesterday and haven't taken them off! Warm and I didn't slip once whilst shoveling the snow from the path.

got mine from sports direct not sure what they have left though- i chose the mens ones with laces and fur at top and have been wearing them with skinny jeans and tops and had quite a few compliments - so great wear to work.

I have ordered some from Amazon.com. They are much more expensive than the ones you have mentioned already but, with buying Canadian Snow Boots, they will be fit for the purpose. I have ordered US size 11 which is UK size 8.5 (I'm a size 8) so hopefully will fit. If not, I'm sure I know someone who they will fit (my daughter who is size 7!)
I ordered them on Thursday 2nd Dec and estimated delivery is Fri 10th Dec.

    This is the cost breakdown:

    Item(s) Subtotal: GBP 56.57
    Shipping & Handling: GBP 7.64
    Total Before Tax: GBP 75.44
    Sales Tax: GBP 0.00
    Import Fees Deposit GBP 11.23

Total for This Shipment: GBP 75.44

    This is the Amazon page...

There is more information about the construction technology of the boots on the Baffin website.

Some people would argue that I'm not being 'Money Saving' but I think these will last me (or my daughter) a good long while! Sometimes it's not a good idea to buy cheap!

Hope this helps somebody and I'll post back when they arrive!

ETA: Just wanted to add that there are many more different styles men's, women's & kid's snow boots on Amazon.com (make sure you are on Amazon.com not Amazon.co.uk) It really is not a problem to buy from America/Canada.
