TheSharecentre
I have been reading about the above as I am thinking about moving my ISA from Charles Stanley as I would like to Bed and ISA some shares that are not held by CSD. I would just like to know the experiences other forum users have had with thesharecentre. Many thanks

How to best move €50k to the UK?
I have sold assets in Ireland and want to move €50k back to the UK. I have seen services such as Keycurrency and Currency Fair but wondered if anyone knows of a better service to use. I can only transfer €25k a day so I will be doing it in 2 transactions.

Losings Accounts
I currently have a Cash ISA with Santander (with barely anything in it). They recently sent me a letter to inform me that the Interest Rate has been changed to 0.1%. The current monthly Retail Price Index is 1.5%. If these rates stay the same for a year then the money in the account loses 1.4% of its value. Surely all…

Moneybox App
Is anyone using the Moneybox app (https://www.moneyboxapp.com/)? If I already have a regular cash ISA, do I need to close that to open a Stocks & Shares ISA with Moneybox? I really like the idea of small amounts going into savings :)

Needs to be opened in July 2020. Minimum initial pay in 100 plus monthly 50 until…

How safe to invest £125K with BLME?
I already have £85K invested with BLME's notice account, which is still at 1.7% for me, now 1.1% for new customers. I have some rainy day money with NS&I where I will always be able to access it, but I've got another £40K maturing soon. I definitely don't want a fixed term investment with interest the way it is at the…

Investing in ETFs, having tried in S&S, which ETF from these two would you choose and why?
Evening, I thought after reading lots of articles at the start of the covid crisis that S&S were my way to earn some extra money to help pay the mortgage quicker. I think got lucky, actually i know lucky, as i invested several thousand pounds intended for my mortgage overpayments and today i managed to sell most for a…

Lost share certificate
Hi, looking to understand why I need to replace a lost share certificate. I registered an account with shareview and it recognised my shareholder reference number which obviously shows the platform has looked up a transfer agents share database and verified my holding. That being the case, when I spoke to shareview I was…

Trying to pay off Help To Buy Scheme with savings
Hello :) My friend bought her house 5 years ago with the Help To Buy Scheme. It is now the 5th year so she will be paying the equity loan. She has been saving money the past 5 years and has saved enough to pay off the equity loan in a lump-sum (she is aware that you pay for the value of the house now, so she has saved more…

Principality BS Regular Saver - 13 payments?
Hi, Does anyone know if the Principality BS Regular Saver 'month' for the £250 monthly payment limit is based on the calendar month or from the date of account opening (ie 25thJune to 24thJuly)? In otherwords, having opened and funded the account on the 25th of June, can I make an additional payment on in the first week of…

Looking for advice - mid 40s very small amount to invest each month
I am in my mid 40s and have a small amount (£50 - £100) spare each month to do something with. When I retire I will have a local government pension - not an awful lot as I work part time on a low salary bracket. I have a mortgage which we are over paying on (and should pay off in 8 years time if we continue overpaying) but…

Advice for a 20y/o student
Hi, thanks for reading! I am currently a first year dental student at University (so theoretically have another 4 years worth of University study before I start work as a dentist) . Will a 20 K investment be more profitable in a 0.9% cash ISA or a 1.16% Income bonds account?
As the income bonds account will also not be liable for tax (As I won't earn enough profit to be taxable), which account would be more financially beneficial for me? How do I make this calculation? Or does anyone have a suggestion for a more lucrative way of saving this money? But I don't want to do a fixed rate or any…

Index linked certs
I currently hold some of the above and I regularly check the current valuation. The last 4 months has shown the valuation decreasing each month. National savings will only comment that it is the valuation at the end of the period that is important. Does anyone else have similar issues.

Fundsmith SICAV or just plain equity?
Hi. I've been tracking the Fundsmith SICAV GBP equity fund for a while and was about to invest. My platform only offers Fundsmith equity as the nearest option and now on checking I see the investments are the same. Can anyone explain the difference between the SICAV version and just Fundsmith equity? Thanks

Comparing returns between BTL and stocks/funds
Hi. I'm lucky enough to own a buy-to-let property outright that yields 3.4% net of expenses. The investment cost £240k. I'm considering selling up next year and either investing in other property in search of higher net yield or putting the money into funds or index trackers (or similar). Although I dabble with some stocks…
