Vanguard Lifestrategy - fees and popularity
Am I right in thinking that if I opened a Vanguard Lifestrategy ISA the annual fee would be 0.15%+0.22%=0.37%? So £37 a year on a £10k investment? I have seen Lifestrategy suggested a lot on here. I appreciate the fees are pretty low, but I understand it is not an actively managed fund and read on iWeb that there are many…

Fund terminology help
Hi Can anyone tell me what the differences are between "growth" & "dividend" and "income" vs "accumulation"? In HL, most of the funds I search for are offered as either "income" or "accumulation" and I understood the difference to be a) accumulation the profits are reinvested and b) income the investor is paid out. So how…

'Guaranteed 12% return' on investment
My friends have a tidy sum to invest and are looking round for suitable places. They have told me that they are meeting an advisor next week who is pushing a guaranteed 12% return on capital. The investment would be in hotels. It all sounds dodgy to me, but has anyone here come across this type of investment and thinks…

Hi, I really need some advice. I need to fill in a self assessment form for my late Dad. He had a few shares. I can work out where the dividend figure on the taxman's paperwork came from.....but it prompts a question. Do your friends / work colleagues save and or invest ?
Just interested in others experience with this.... I don't know many people that save much if at all from their monthly wage. As for investing in stocks and shares I literally know nobody. When I speak to others about investing (what I save per month goes into stocks and shares), they look at me like I'm putting it all in…

Moving funds into an ISA
So, it's been a pretty bad year savings wise and I've used none of this years ISA allowance. I've got about 100k in various ETFs and funds and I'm thinking of cashing in about 20k and moving them into a S&S ISA. Is there anything to watch out for in doing this? It would all be under AJ Bell, is it possible to simply move…

Jupiter European Opps - JEO
I was thinking it may be a good time to invest a little money into JEO as the share price is quite low and it’s trading at a discount?
