Birmingham Midshires not worth the hassle
One month and still the instant access account is not fully operable. Endless to and fro of paperwork. Paperwork incomplete so telephone follow up necessary. Telephone enquiries held up with a very long monologue which is entirely unnecessary. Telephone operatives slow. All for 1.6% gross; and that's only variable (only…

Santander--FSCS Reduction Options
I've just received an email from Santander telling me about the reduction in protection to £75000 from January 1st and letting me know what my options are. Halifax Online Tracker
I opened an online tracker in June when the interest rate was 1.09%. I have just noticed that it has gone up to 1.95%. Because I have 50000 invested it is worth me taking a hit of 175 days of interest to close the original account and open up a new one. This is where the fun begins! Although it is an online account and I…
