FL-G4S-Long-Term-Cap-Gth-Pn

I have a Pension Plan with my current employer, which I have held for about three years. The entire amount is invested here: http://www.moneywise.co.uk/fund-information/FL-G4S-Long-Term-Cap-Gth-Pn/MOFV2

I have noticed that the fund has grown very slowly in the three years. The current value is: 5,821.92 and the total amount of contributions (employee and employer) is: 5884.31. I realize there were stock market falls recently.

I am 33 years old, so I think that I should have an increased attitude to risk. What are your thoughts on this fund?

Your link states that this is linked to an underlying standard life absolute return fund.

The two things that jump out from the fact sheet for the underlying fund are the high charges, 1.5%+, and more strikingly the fact that half of the fund is invested in money markets. It's possible that your pension fund could be paying less than the headline charges, but the fact that percentage is in money market funds, essentially cash equivalents obviously earning near zero returns.

Given your age and you accept that there is risk in investments then it's probably worth looking for a cheaper and more equipped heavy option to have your pension money in.
