Cash ISA maturing
I invested £15000 in a cash ISA in April 2015. I have just received notification that a 5 year fixed cash ISA (approx £12000) matures on 1st June. There are options to transfer the funds to other ISAs with the same provider (Leeds Building Society) or transfer to another provider. As I have already used my allowance for…

Any Advantage in Transferring an ISA?
I have a couple of ISAs about to mature. Is there any advantage in transferring them to another ISA versus drawing the money out and just opening another ISA? I am asking the question because I am not sure if I have time to do the transfer.

S&S Investment Balance
I'm looking to ensure my S&S investments are properly balanced, having re-discovered an old S&S ISA and hurriedly deposited £15k into an AXA Self-Investor S&S ISA at the end of the 2014/15 tax year. I think I've ended up with S&S ISAs that are very heavy in equities. I also have a significant amount of cash sitting around,…

“Managing a Junior S&S ISA”
I am planning on opening a JISA for my daughter with Charles Stanley (through which I hold investments and am happy with the platform and charges). I understand the money/investments belong to her until she is 18 and can’t be withdrawn other than in exceptional circumstances. With this in mind, how much “management” is…

Bad month for stock and shares?
Hello I opened a stocks and shares ISA at the end of the last tax year. I was roughly 1% up overall about a month ago and now I'm about 4% down. Has anyone had a similar experience over the last month or so? I think my investments are fairly diverse so I don't think its case of having put all my eggs in one basket.

Venture Capital Trust too late for tax year 14-15?
I was wondering about putting some money in a Venture Capital Trust, but I'm stuggling to figure out whether, if I bought these shares now, I would be allowed to claim the tax relief for 2014-15. I can't find anything on HMRC site. I've seen stuff elsewhere suggeting it's not possible. But Albion VCT is selling a "Top Up…

I'm not sure if my question belongs here, but I found another thread from several years ago on a similar subject, so I thought I'd start here. Shares
Hi My father passed away earlier this week and we are trying to sort out all his finances. Most of the shares I am able to find and see that they are live, but I have the odd one which I'm a bit stuck on. Zeneca Group PLC, I have certificates for my Mum and Dad all issued in 1993. Are these still valid? I can see that…
