Have a few quid to put in an ISA for a long term investment, 10 years plus.
Am thinking about Barclays for decent dividend and also growth in coming years.
Just wondered what others thought and any infer re FT100 dividend paying shares.
Thanks

Choosing a single share is very high risk. Most people invest in funds to spread their risks.0

Do you have 10-20 other shares already invested?
If not then buying a single share would not be considered a sensible option risk wise. Not only are you limited to the performance of a single company but single sector in a single country. No diversification at all and with a chance of losing all your money, unlikely but 2008 showed it is possible.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
This would be my first share (for a while, sold all previous ones) but yes will be looking at a number of shares in coming months or even a fund.0
