Deposit period on ISA moving to new year's allowance
I just phoned Coventry for their 2.25% ISA asking about the ability to deposit additional funds into the new year, and the lady said I can only do that in this year. However, reading their "Additional information", it states: I understand "open to new investors" means effectively this tax year as it will be closed for new…

Where to sell a Rolex watch?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I can't think where else to put it. Mods please move delete as appropriate. I've been left a gold coloured ladies Rolex Watch. It belonged to my MIL. There are no hallmarks, in fact it says stainless steel. So, I'm presuming gold plate. It says 'Oyster Perpetual' under the Rolex name.…

Aviva - No-one asked me!
Just noticed in the paper that Aviva and Friends Provident shareholders have approved the merger... I have a small chunk of Aviva shares, held through H-L, and nobody asked me my thoughts. (Though I don't think I hold enough to be influential. (Joke, btw) As a general rule, shouldn't H-L have asked me to vote, or Aviva? I…

Potential CTF to JISA Loophole
Just reading up on the budget and noticed a potential loophole where a parent may be able to invest 3 times the annual allowance on a junior isa. So, come April 6th the JISA & CTF allowance becomes £4080. As the ctf runs birthday to birthday the following could theoretically happen. Child born may 1st for example. Between…
