UK or NZ Invesment??
Hi all, I have a slightly tricky question. I'm originally from New Zealand but now live and work in the UK. I'm thinking about bringing over £13,000 held in a Kiwisaver fund in New Zealand. I am being charged a 2.29% fee per annum by an actively managed fund in New Zealand. I want to buy Vanguard Lifestrategy 80% ACC…

Can on of you guys help me navigate TrustNet?
I need to look at moving out of some funds in my SIPP because Legal and General are closing them - want to find the best fund that they are still offering in the same geography/sector. A couple of weeks ago I started looking and stumbled across a way of filterering on TrustNet, to look at just the L and G PENSION versions…

ISA allowance 2014/15
Just a quick question regarding my 2014/15 ISA allowance, I have some of this allowance in a cash ISA and some in a S&S ISA but as yet still have about 5K left to use up. Question 1. Am I correct in saying as I have a fixed rate cash ISA for this year I can't open a second one to use this money up? (I know some would say…

Re: Club Llloyds - year up?
I'm coming up to the end of my first year with Club Lloyds. Does anyone know whether the interest just rolls over into another year a the same rate. Or does it drop and does one need to open another Club Lloyds to get the same benefits. I had a quick look in the terms and conditions but could not find it.

First time ever German interest rates are negative
Is it just me or should we not all be more than a tad concerned that German 5yr Bonds are paying a negative interest rate, as are deposits at a major commercial bank? (Deutsche Skatbank) "Those with deposits of more than €500,000 (£393,000), will, rather than receiving interest on their deposits, have an interest rate of…

Property Investment Advice
Hi All on here. Just a quick question to see if anyone can point me in the right direction for some investment advice where property is concerned. I live in Gloucestershire but don't know whether that applies these days with the differing forms of contact. Thanks in advance.

Which shares to sell?
A couple of years ago I bought a mixture of shares and funds. Whilst there have been losses and gains, overall the package has risen about 14% in that time, including dividends received. I now wish to realise some profits, and am unsure what strategy I should take when selling. For instance, do I cash in some of those…

ISA's after bankruptcy
I've had a basic bank account with the Co-op for several years and I was allowed to keep this when I went in to voluntary bankruptcy in February 2010, from which I was discharged in July 2010. I realise this stays on your records for 6 years, which is next year for me. I am now trying to rebuild my credit and wanted to…

Budget 2015
Thought it might be worth starting a thread on this. Rumours that some savings tax will get abolished http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk...-10115062.html (also mentioned here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5200235) We shall know in a few hours whether this is true

No more basic rate tax on savings interest?
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/generalelection/budget-2015-savings-tax-scrapped-as-chancellor-puts-his-money-on-voters-with-cash-in-the-bank-10115062.html Certainly something that will be welcomed by many if true. It will also make cash ISAs look an even worse option for most if they can now get 3/4/5% in…

What do you wish you'd known about investing?
I'm curious about the lessons people have learned over the years. For me, the biggest lessons I've learned are: 1) I can't time the market 2) There's always a little money to put away The main thing about (2) is that for years I thought I had no money to invest or save, but the reality is that I went out to eat plenty of…

Not really with it saver!
Morning all, a bit of background. I have just downsized, paid off my mortgage and have £45k to do something with (savings wise). I've opened a FD account. Quick question about that, obviously there is no point me putting more than 2.5k in there, so do I set up some sort of SO to transfer the £1000 in there each month and…

Growth fund question
I invested in the Axa biotech fund just over a year ago and as of today its up 66%. It does not appear to pay any dividends so looks like a pure growth fund. Apart from keeping to a certain asset allocation limit, is there any point in keeping any profit over and above the original asset allocation? Nobody can predict when…

Lattice Group
Hi Forum newbie here so apologies if this is the wrong place to post. I've recently found out that I have some shares that have been held in trust for the last 14 years.
