Interest + “Introduction Bonus”
Hello What an unexpected pleasure you being here. As you’re here may be we could get down to business, as soon as possible, as I have an urgent meeting with “Q” in ten minutes and I really need a drink (Martini, shaken not stirred) before that. Why do Banks, on saving accounts sometimes have Interest = (Interest +…

Are ISA's ALWAYS the best option?
Hi, I have no savings at present and am only now in the position to start accumulating some. I was of the opinion that i should save in an ISA before any other account (i won't be able to fill my whole allowance), but is this ALWAYS the case? Are there any circumstances when picking a higher interest rate savings account…

Both seem to be very similar in terms of holdings. Has that always…

how reliably do index linked investments beat inflation?
Over the last 10 years, an index linked gilt fund steadily outperforms RPI. E.g.: ---RPI M&G Index Linked Bond 1y 5.19% 12.87% 3y 8.64% 21.15% 5y 18.49% 38.85% 10y 35.72% 81.23% This seems like a relatively low-risk, low-volatility way of beating inflation. But I've read of a 30 year bull market in bonds - is the…

is the capped HL ISA charge per account or per investment?
Suddenly realised I'm not sure exactly what they mean by "0.5% for all other investments, capped at" £200 now, soon to be £45. Is the cap for your whole HL ISA, or for each holding? (presume they won't answer the phone on a saturday)
