Savings account for Euros
Hello all (my first post) My partner is German and lives in Germany and has 25,000 Euros in a savings account paying 1.7% Interest. We've done a bit of looking around and it seems the best she can get is around 2.5-2.7%. She wants to keep the money as Euros but naturally would like a better interest rate. Does anyone here…

Interest -monthly or annual
Just been trawling the net for best savings deals and notice that some offer say 4% annual interest or 4.07 monthly interest. I don't understand why there should be a difference. Can someone please explain?:confused:

am I correct please NO limit to No of withdrawals from 3.95% bond. £500 min/left. 90 days interest forfeited on AMOUNT WITHDRAWN So, it is flexible. No need ot split into a No of bonds for flexiblity. (This is a problem to set up, anyway...)

Skipton 5 year 5.35% or Index Linked NS&I....
.......What would you go for?......NS&I are currently at 1% plus rpi which is -1.3% so effectivaly at 1%.......however I suppose it depends on one's view re inflation v deflation.....thanks ed123

Halifax Guaranteed Saver Reward - Correct Rate!
Now showing the correct interest rate (6%) online for accounts opened last November, where that rate was previously showing the 0.5% rate that it offered without the current account salary credit link! Shame I've only got another week in the account!

is this a stupid question?
So if someone has more than 50K in Northern Rock because it was 100% safe........what will happen when the bank is split? I asked this last night and have no replies. If it is a stupid question....I apologise but I was asked and didn't know....so I figured this was the best place to find out! Thanks.
