England or germany
Hi I wondered if anyone can help. We have £50,000 saved in the HSBC which we plan to use as a down payment on a house this year but with inflation as it is am wondering if I should transfer this money to my German bank account which is in Euros? Will it make more? Will it still be worth the same? Is it worth doing this?

Barclays Tax Haven Cash ISA, query.
I have one of the above ending in April '09. I need info regarding how exactly to finish it, ie cash it in, and if I decide so, to maybe start up another one with Barclay's. Sorry to be so dim but I am a bit concerned. I am a Barclay's current account customer and opened this ISA via my on-line banking.

Where should we put excess charity cash?
Hi there I work for a small charity and we have built up rather a large sum of money in our current account with the Bank of Scotland, around £120,000 with £9k sitting in a deposit account with them. We didn't earn any interest on the main balance last month and a measly 7p on the smaller amount. Could anybody advise where…

Shock news for SAVERS. If inflation's at 0.1% you’ve never had it so GOOD! Inflation in January - another tale of two halves..
http://www.statistics.gov.uk/cci/nugget.asp?ID=19 Those with mortgages look like having 'near zero' inflation this month - for the rest it's '3%' officially. When the spate of mortgage rate cutting has stopped and fallen out of the 12 months comparison these indices should be a lot closer together. Is CPI really predicted…

I left my previous job about 14 months ago. I was part of an employee share scheme and saved approx £10 a month. The scheme matured last month. However, I didn’t realise that as I had left their employment I was ineligible to exercise my options. They had informed me, but I misread their letter and carried on paying into…
