Is it even worth having an ISA anymore?
I've just received my Icesave ISA back through compensation. I can't put it in an ISA for at least 2 weeks time when I get the ISA certificate for the funds. At the moment the best rate I can get is Kent Reliance BS under 25s account at 4.76% variable. That's surely going to drop again by the time I can invest. Tonight…

Fair Practise?
I recently opened a 'Halifax Guaranteed Saver Reward' account to try and catch the 6% fixed rate deal. When I checked the account online I was surprised to see it read 3%, and not the 6% so I quizzed them and this is the response I got: Thank you for your email dated 3rd December 2008. Firstly, please allow me to apologise…

I have around around £4,000.00 and as it is currently in my Alliance & Leicester Premier account the first £2,500.00 is earning 8.5% before tax (20%) - the rest is earning nothing. The 8.5% wont run…

How long will we have to live with these low interest rates?
Just trying to do a little forward planning with financial resources. Would anybody care to suggest how long we're going to have to live with interest rates of 2% (or lower)? Most of our non-emergency funds are now fixed for the next 12 months but if interest rates are still this low in a year's time, our expenditure will…
