Up to date interest rates for savings?
Does anyone know where I can find up to date interest rates for savings accounts? Other than all of the comparison websites, is there some way of finding these out (because most of the sites are out of date after today's cut in interest rates), other than ringing each bank individually? Thanks for your help.

Offshore Savings!
Savings rates for high street banks are dropping rapidly The offshore savings interest rate would be higher even after paving income tax. Is it savvy to move some savings into an offshore account for higher rates? Surely the offshore banks run by the likes of Santander must be fairly safe?

Is now the time to try Premium Bonds again?
Had £5K in premium bonds for a couple of years, a few years ago. I got one £50 win in all that time so withdrew them in the end and put the money back into savings. Now I've just received my £25K+ back from Icesave. With savings rates looking like 2% and probably going even worse.. do you think it's time to put money back…

Any opinions on the Saga top 5 tracker?
The Saga Top 5 Tracker is showing 5.66% as of 1-12-08, though no doubt it has dropped by now. I've about £5000 to invest in an instant access account, am over 50 and have used this years ISA allowance. If I don't need it before then it will go into another ISA in April. Anyone any opinions on this please?

BM Fixed Rate Saving Account Question
On the Birmingham Midshire Fixed Rate FAQ it says emphasis mine. Does that mean that if I open an account today with a £1 deposit and they stop doing this fixed rate tomorrow, I'd be stuck with my £1 and won't be able to add any more money to it? How likely is that to happen if the interest rate drops today? Thanks

Investec High 5 Account
This sounds like something we'd be interested in. It's FSCS subscribed so would have the £50K guarantee but does anyone have a view on the relative likelihood of needing to claim given that this is a private bank?
