Please make it payable to Principality, followed by your name – e.g. Principality Mr ******.0

Normally the precise form does not matter too much as long as you have your name correct and have not just put the Building Society's name on the cheque. But no harming in ringing up and hearing the rich Welsh baritione on the Principality's phoneline.0

Personally I'd phone Principality.. and ask them the question. No disrespect to anyone but you do get very positive sounding stuff on here that is sometimes tosh.

Anyway, from my application for the Principality e-saver account:
Please make cheque payable to Principality, followed by your name - e.g. Principality Mrs A N Other.
On the reverse of the cheque, please write your e-SAVER account number and postcode. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -

Jonbvn, did you apply for this online? If so, at the end of the process did you get an application form or any type of document to sign and send to PBS?
I applied that way, reached an acknowledgement screen (printed off) at the end which included the account number, but this didn't look like anything to send to them, only a record for me -- it also included the instructions you quote above. There was nothing else, unless I missed clicking another button or something.
Thought it was odd there was no form or anything to sign, but took them literally at their word and sent only the ID and a cheque, with the account number/postcode on the reverse plus 'ESaver'. Today it's all come back: 'Unfortunately we are unable to carry out the transaction as we are not sure which account you require'. They only had to had to turn over the cheque for the details they'd asked for, or at least to know what I wanted even if something was missing.
I must have overlooked something vital along the way...~cottager0 -

I am thinking of opening the One Year Regular Saver Bond Issue 5 with Principality. Does anyone have any opinions/comments about this bank?
Its a bit crap that you can access the account online. Are people going to setup standing orders online? When i spoke to customer services, they seemed to mention you have to fill out a printed standing order form and that was the only way?

If you've a bank that sends faster payments that is the best way to fund the regular saver bond. You need to put your account number as the reference.0

Any comments in general about Principality? Any good?0

You've not seen inaccurate info ever posted on here?
