National Grid Shares
My parents have just been contacted by Capita Tracing Solutions, as apparently their dividend from the 2005 restructuring of National Grid was not cashed. For a fee of 15% +vat they would evaluate the claim and recover the dividend. Feeling slightly suspicious of this my parents contacted National Grid direct and was told…

For example the 3 year term has a gross rate of 7.16% the AER is 6.70%, which is even less than the 1 year term. Surely if you divide the Gross rate by 12 and add…

Offshore Company Formation - best value?
Where is the best value place in the world to get this done? For tax, setting up fees and nominee management. Looking around it seems the UK is a good value place for it. But alas, I think this is too close to home to be a good idea. Rationale: I may have income outside of the UK I wish to keep foreign in the future. By…

When you fill in your tax return, you must declare interest earned on savings, even if you have had 20% tax already deducted by the bank before you got it. Why is this, if tax has already been paid? How does Gordon Brown know whether you have declared it all? If your savings are spread around many instiutions, it can be…
