Voluntary redundancy
Hi anyone got any suggestions on how to word a letter applying for voluntary redundancy. The restructuring of the company's working hours would now not suit my family situation. Thanks

Redundancy money and separation.
Not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes. Daughter and son-in-law are separating. He has been made redundant but luckily has already got a job to go to. His redundancy will be around £3,000, will my daughter be entitled to half of that. They have one child if that makes any difference.

Compulsory redundancy- should I appeal?
Hi, I am unsure whether I should appeal my redundancy. I have 5 working days to do this under the company appeal procedure. In brief, my work has been transferred to a team in a 'low cost location' (which I understand is a legitimate business reason) and as such I am being made redundant. 20 colleagues are affected so this…

Am I being made redundant?
I currently work part time in an admin team alongside another girl, also part time. We have been told today by our new manager that she doesn’t think the team is working and is now amalgamating the two part time roles into one full time role. We have offered to do a traditional jobshare e.g 2.5 days each but she said ‘I…

Settlement Agreement Advice_Unfair Dismissal Case?
I will try to keep this as short and relevant as possible. I have been employed by a small, but highly profitable company for the past 3 years and 4 months. Since the birth of my son 2½ years ago, my employer has made progressive steps to diminish my role and terminate my employment. In an informal, “off the record” chat…

Job at Risk - got to apply for role
My wife has been told that she is at risk as there are 5 candidates for 3 jobs. As part of the process she has to interview for her 'old' job, this is fine but the salary is less than her current salary. Could this be therefore deemed unsuitable and therefore opt for redundancy. No voluntary redundancy is on offer. She…

Tupe & redundancy
The US company I have worked for 10 years was acquired by a large US blue-chip company about 18 months ago. Just before acquisition, my old company, put the whole of the UK office (32 people) into redundancy consultancy, and posted 8 new jobs, that we were invited to apply for. The people who chose to leave got pretty good…
