Company in Administration hence made redundant

Options
Good evening,

Have been trying to get registered and logged in for a few days now. Finally here.

Have been a long time lurker and reader of the queries and answers posted.

Didn't think I would need any pointers but here we are.... It happens.

After reading the Government site, ACAS, Money Saving Expert regarding redundancy I think I've got it all.... but just want some confirmation really that I have got it all.

The company I worked for went into administration and the couple of us that were employed at the time was made aware that on the 27th March we were made redundant due to no sale of the business.
The only time redundancy was mentioned previous to this was around the 22nd / 23rd March by the appointed administrator who was hoping a resolution and sale of the company was going to go ahead on the 26th March.

I was employed for 2 years, aged 26 now.
My earning was £30,000 a year + overtime.

Our wage cut off points were from 25th February to 27th March effectively. Usually this would be 25th of the month - 24th of the month.

I make it unpaid wages for that period (before deductions) = £2538.36
Unpaid overtime = 67 hours (yes, there was some long shifts in that period) = £966.14

Holiday year was 1st April 2017 - end March 2018. I still had 20 days outstanding and these were due to be carried over with agreement from my managing director.

Notice period = 2 months. Is this calculated by usual monthly pay x 2? ie on £30,000 = £2,500 x 2?
I can only claim for this once my notice period is up on 27 / 05 / 2018

Redundancy = 2 weeks worth of pay as statutory at the capped £489 per week.

We have had to submit details to the insolvency practitioner.
Can the money that is owed all be capped? I can't work out from reading the information online, whether it is all capped or just the redundancy part of the pay?

Also had a pension that was paid into from the beginning of this year when it was enforced on the business but I can get this sorted once I have found new employment.

I have been to the Job centre also. Have never been and never been in this situation before but I can see why many people that are less fortunate struggle with the stigma that it has become.

I have no money at the moment, was due to be paid on Wednesday.
Have no savings or anything but have some good friends that I can rely on to help pay bills for the short term until I can get back in a job and any spending is at an absolute minimum

Is there anything I've missed and anything else you recommend I do - short of getting interviews and a new job lined up as soon as possible!?

Apologies for the long message, hopefully covers any pre-empted questions.

Appreciate any help.

You mention wages but then you also mention salary. If you are salaried, I would assume that you may be for example paid on 27th of each month but this is actually a payment for the complete calendar month. Not that the amount owed is for part way through one month to part way through another. Might be worth checking this?

Also your pension is likely to be with an external pension provider so if this is the case, your pension contributions will be unaffected.
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)
