Having spent since 8:45 this morning trying to get tickets for the concert at the 02 Arena (any date!) for Take That and failing miserably I am gutted to see them on Ebay already going for over £400 per pair! On 5 occassions I was allocated tickets on line only to be chucked off the system before i was able to pay for…

HSBC Muzak - do we need it?
I had to go into HSBC today and continue to be amazed that they think we need an awful HSBC music station droning on. I did mention to the bank teller that the muzak was awful - "It's a corporate decision" Do we need it? Had to do some banking at our local post office too - peace and quiet - bliss!

SKY - my experience
I've been a SKY TV customer for many many years and up until this year I had subscribed to all their Mixes plus Sports and Movies. This year... SKY TV Packages I cancelled Movies and Sports obviously expecting to lose all the channels advertised as Movies and Sports. Unfortunately, they removed 10 more channels which are…

8 Days For Son's Passport To Arrive!
After all the moaning I've been doing over Carphone Warehouse recently and the stress they have caused me (see other threads - hey, managed to sneak another name-and-shame in there, fantastic!), it's great to receive some great service for a change - albeit NOT from the CPW! Posted application for renewal of my son's…

Tesco Direct are bloomin' useless
I tried to place an order with Tesco Direct for a DVD player. Clearly advertised as "Was £69.97 Now £59.97" but when you put it in your basket the prices comes up with a whole 50p off at £69.47. So I thought I'd do the right thing & I wrote & told them with full product details etc. Their reply was "phone our chargable…

Nectar Card - get your points on the day!
I spent over £300 in Debenhams last week on some new bedding and was not asked for my Nectar card. When I went in the next day they said they could only have added the points if I had come back in the same day! They also state that they have a policy now of NOT asking if you have a Nectar card. I'm absolutely livid! Is…

The unhelpful helpline at Virgin Media
Today I had the misfortune of ringing Virgin Media twice. The first time wasn't too bad as it was an automated message about the missing Sky 1, 2 and News channel - not heartbroken too much about the loss. But what is really boiling my pee is I rang again as hubby has upgraded computer to Microsoft Vista and he wanted a…

Arrrgh!!! Courier Companies!
We've probably all heard the stories of people complaining they received a card through the letterbox saying such and such a courier company tried to deliver a package but received no reply, whiulst they were in the house. I've always been fairly sceptical and assumed they were in the bathroom or something. No longer shall…

Second Hand Car Problems
Hi, this is my first ever post and I really need some advice. We bought a second hand Landrover (I know it's not PC, but I need it to tow my horse trailer), last September, with 6 months warranty that is now about to expire. Since then the car has spent 11 weeks backwards and forwards to the garage with various faults,…

Lovefilm dvd subscription
I'd decided to catch up on some old, hard to get hold of classics and decided to sign up with a dvd company. I did a search and decided to go with recommendations of http://www.choosedvdrental.co.uk/dvd-results.asp which listed lovefilm as the leading favourite. As I don't watch a lot of films, I decided to go for the…

Anyone familiar with the law of Lien
Not sure where to post this, please move if appropriate. I am just having a discussion with a neighbour who has a dispute with some goods he is storing. Because he has not been paid for storage, he wants to put a lien on the goods. However, I remember years ago, that I was told that it is not possible to put a lien on…

Virgin: Sky users - would you support this?
Hi I don't particularly like Sky but Mrs GG likes to watch a lot of rubbish and I do watch repeats of Del Boy. We pay £20+ per month. I am not imperessed by Sky's action with respect to Virgin TV (switching off the channels for cable users). Would you support an action whereby SKY Customers cancel/reduce their Sky…

https://goldpayprofits.com genuine or fraud?
Being a dynosaur! In It terms, posted a message last night regarding a US share dealing website, which may be genuine? I need help/advice from Moneysavers with expertise in this area. I registered with the site but when I responded to their confirmation email my spyware showed the following message "There is a problem with…
