Planet conservatories and windows - NIGHTMARE!

So many problems with my new conservatory and windows that I wouldn't know where to start.

How did you find them-or did they find you?

My OH and I got a conservatory from Planet Leeds in 2004. During the storms earlier this year, a slate came down and holed the conservatory roof. My OH phoned them, not with regard to any conpensation may I say, but just because we wanted them (the company who put the conservatory in) to fix it and we obviously would pay accordingly. It took days to try and get hold of ANYBODY at all in this organisation, we eventually got through to the Head Office in Preston and told the woman who answered the phone that we just wanted the hole fixing by the company who had installed the conservatory (so things match up) She then informed my OH that the company had been bought out in September 2004 (we bought our convervatory in August 2004 !) but all that was purchased was the assets of the company and not the insurance guarantees of the conservatories so they could not help us and she promptly put the phone down on my OH !

I understand that these jokers are still installing conservatories, I also understand that they are still manufacturing their own units - I fail to understand why they could not fix the conservatory roof which they installing using their own products !

I think Planet and their many subsidiaries should be avoided like the plague

Have to say I have a Planet Conservatory and I cant fault the service we have had from them.

Have you threatened to go to the papers if they dont sort it? Or to the Head Office?
