Pension lump sum figures
Hi My pension scheme uses a simple calculation for working out the size of my pension pot. It is 20 times my annual pension figure + my lump sum figure (in my scheme I am given 3 times my annual pension). In simple terms the size of my pension pot is 23 times the annual salary. I'm assuming this pension pot value is the…

My father had a pension fund sold by Zurich many years ago, after being made redundant he stopped paying into it. Over the years the management fee has been greater than the invested return, a few months ago he received a letter from Zurich to advised that the balance of the fund was now £0 and therefore the fund was…

Pension advise
Hi, bit confused by pensions, really think they should teach this sort of stuff at school rather than maths that you never need to use once you've left. So here's the situation; I started my pension when I was about 30, I only pay £100 so I appreciate it won't be much (42 now.) I have been concentrating on paying my…

Class A Acc, Class B Acc
I have some pension funds invested in Neptune Global Equity. I pressed Xafinity to provide the complete code for the fund. This is ISIN GB0030679160. Now that fund is Neptune Global Equity Class B Acc, having a very different price to that listed as Class A on the Hargreaves & Lansdown site. What does Class B mean? Where…

LGPS question about transfers
Hi LGPS member here, shortly to change jobs which means I have the option of transferring my accrued entitlements to my new employers' scheme. As this change will result in a drop in salary of about 20%, my hunch is to not transfer in but instead start a new pension afresh. I think this will 'lock-in' my current pension…

Options for (lost) matured pension plan once found.
I am in the process of tracking down a pension for my OH. The basis of my post here is to establish what her options will be once I find it. The background to this is she was made redundant in c1989 by a leading accountancy firm. On the advice of a financial advisor (who we cannot find now) she put her pension pot (c£28k)…
