Are these charges OK? Can I do better?
I posted recently about my pension fund. It has managed 5.5% p.a. growth over 8 years. The consensus here was that this was not great but reasonable given the last 8 year economic period, and as the funds are fairly adventurous it could have been worse, and may offer better returns in future. For the feedback a big thank…

Nhs pension - can I pay in additional contributions?
I worked for the NHS nearly 25 years ago for a year and a half. Does my NHS pension still exist and is it possible ( or wise!) to reactivate this pension and continue to make contributions even though I no longer work for the NHS. I don't have any other form of personal private pension and am self employed.

Hi, My employer has recently enrolled all employees in the new workplace pension. However, this has happened at a time that I was due for a pay review. I spoke to my employer today, and she told me that she would not be increasing anybody's pay, as she saw the workplace pension as a sufficient benefit. I was under the…

Rebate Derived Amount for Single Tier Pension transition
A number of people, myself included, have mentioned the Rebate Derived Amount (RDA) in this forum. It forms part of the calculation at transition to the proposed Single Tier Pension. However, it appears that the general opinion is that the formula for calculating the RDA has not yet been announced. I suggest this is wrong,…

How can Pension companies be allowed to keep you in the dark?
I am lucky enough to have a deferred final salary pension but as to what it is currently worth I have no idea. How can I…
