Thank you for the information provided on this site. I sent UKPS a standard appeal letter following a NTK from TNC Parking Services and they accepted the appeal within days. Well worth the cost of a stamp!

POPLA appeal won
Hi Just found this part of the forum after the event, but thought I'd post results and ask a couple of questions. My wife was 'fined' £100 by Civil Enforcement for overstaying at a shopping centre. She genuinely hadn't seen the signs [bit embarrassed when we visited later to check them out] and had parked five hours in a…

paid parking eye £60 'without prejudice save as to costs' an still going 2 court?
To cut a long story short, my wife put a random number rather than the registration of my car into a parking eye machine thinking all she needed was the actual ticket. Anyway parking eye wanted a large fine for this mistake and eventually a court date was set. I was more than prepared to fight parking eye in court but my…

35mph on a 30mph road - no 30mph/camera sign?
Hi all I wonder if anyone can shed a bit of light on this for me. Ok....I was driving along and I saw a speed camera van parked on the side. Looked at my speedo, I was doing 35. Looked at TomTom, it says 60 limit...looked for ANY signs and there were none. About 3/4 mile further on I see a 40 sign so I figured I was ok.…

Unjust UKPC fine / POPLA won't help
Hi there, I recently received a letter from debt collectors acting on behalf of UKPC. They were looking to obtain £160 for an original unpaid fine of £60 for a 'parking offence' on a UKPC-operated property. The letter which they claim UKPC sent to me advising of this fine was never received by me, which meant not only was…

Hi, Please can anyone help me with my defence of a court claim received last week? It relates to a Coop car park parking charge, at the end of Oct 2012. I ignored all letters as this seemed to be advice at the time (obviously a mistake after the changes). I've sent the acknowledgement of service. I've contacted the Coop -…
