paid parking eye £60 'without prejudice save as to costs' an still going 2 court?

To cut a long story short, my wife put a random number rather than the registration of my car into a parking eye machine thinking all she needed was the actual ticket. Anyway parking eye wanted a large fine for this mistake and eventually a court date was set.
I was more than prepared to fight parking eye in court but my wife decided after receiving a 'without prejudice save as to costs letter' and a demand of £60, to pay the £60 so the whole matter would be over.
Well after paying the £60 it seems its still going to court. Is there anyone who knows if parking eye can still take us to court even though we have paid the £60.
Can find a similar problem anywhere online and would much appreciate any help, thank you.

How did you pay the £60 and have you got proof the received it?0

Did you pay within the stipulated timescale in the offer?
Where and when is the court hearing date?
Make sure that on the day you turn up with their letter, your proof of payment, and copies for the judge and their LPC Law advocate. Seek out their advocate before the hearing and pass then the documents. if they ar eany good they will phone parkingeye and ge tthe hearing called of at the last minute. If they are not, you will have to persuade the judge to do this first thing.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
My wife paid on her debit card so we have proof we paid them. I was just wondering if i had misunderstood what the 'without prejudice save as to costs letter' meant ?0

We paid within the time scale stimulated0

You could go to their web site and enter your references. If there is no money outstanding, print this and take this to court as well. Ask for your expenses for time off work and travel
Pe have thousands of court cases on the go at any one time so it sounds like this is one of their frequent admin clock ups...or perhaps the courtsDedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
Without trying sound too stupid if i paid the 'without prejudice save as to costs letter' it should mean the fine is ended?0

It sounds as though you may be on a nice little earner, especially if you have informed them that you think they may have made an error. If they persist, read up on counter-claiming.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

You need to file a counter claim for the £60 back and a full defence to the allegation that you owe them any money at all.
Unless you get the famous "asleep at the wheel" judge, they usually lose.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
I can't seem to find any mention from the OP of him or his wife contacting ParkingLie about the apparent oversight.
Whilst even if ParkingLie were to somehow win sending an LPC rep to court would cost them more than their winnings, I do not get the impression that the OP or his wife would get much enjoyment from spending half a day seeing how the small claims track works.
The easiest way to resolve this would seem to be to contact ParkingLie and point out that the fine has already been paid - obviously keeping a record of the communication. If they still persist with the court case, then the OP would seem to have good grounds to recover his full costs on an indemnity basis (other party acting unreasonably), and there would be quite a story for the local press.0
