I've also got couscous, peas, red lentils, tinned tomatoes, plain flour, butter; and sausages in the freezer. Any suggestions, oh marvellous folk…

fresh cooked meat
what I find extremely frustrating here in Basildon is the lack of a good source of cooked meat as takeaway. I don't want to order because it is extremely expensive for one person (they have minimum £10 order) Also, I don't have the time to cook myself, because you need to defrost the meat and then cook it, which is too…

sciatica?
Hi all, I have sciatica and for those of you who have been unfortunate enough to have it will know, its absolutely excruciating! I have been given codeine for the pain, which helps slightly. Something other than a packet of crisps
I work nights and during my mid morning tea break I always have a packet of crisps. My lunch is varied from pasta salads, to curry so there is no issue there. Thinking about it, eating a packet of crisps at work everyday is becoming a bit unhealthy. Has anyone got any inspiration for a better mid morning munchie?

Homemade pancake mix
I have always used either the be-ro recipe for pancakes, which is basically milk, flour, egg and a pinch of salt, or the Tesco value batter mix packet which is cheap- about 15p I think, which needs only water and an egg added, no fresh milk as the mix contains dried milk. I have come across a box of dried skimmed milk in…
