I stumbled, then there was an avalanche!
Does this happen to other people? Is there a method that works for stopping it? I had been doing well this week. Packed lunch for work, reading the paper online, sticking to the list when food shopping etc etc. THEN I found myself sheltering from the rain in a charity shop. One new handbag later (£7: of course I didn't…

Freezing and preserving herbs
Has anyone ever frozen basil leaves before or do they know if it can be done? My 89p basil plant is producing leaves faster than I can use them and I'd like a way to keep them. Our household isn't a lover of pesto btw or I'd make a glut of that. Ideas appreciated. a_b

Yoghurt Maker
I know I should be saving and not spending, but I'm wondering about getting an EasyYo yoghurt maker as it seems to be a really good idea and far easier than boiling milk in a pan etc. Does anyone have one or am I better doing it the old fashioned way?

She's Done It to me Again!!
My mother thinks I am penniless thanks to keeping up with the challenges, she has just bought herself a new vaccuum cleaner and because my Henry is still at Cash Generators (I've spent enough, and I've discovered that a dustpan and brush picks up more than you would believe possible) she slipped me another £20 today to…

It's a slow cooker! :money: It was up the loft, so I pretended to be going to fetch it myself, so daddy got it for me :) It's a Haden 3 litre one. Is that big or small? I've decided I'm making first, as I have some lamb :D I'm not quite sure if I have the other ingredients though

They have said they are rubbish at budgeting, at the moment they have to budget for food, going out and clothing (all rent and bills are paid). They have access to internet and were keen to do some…
