Sandwiches
I'm going to have sandwiches for my lunch today. Only thing is I'm not sure how to cut them. Straigt across the midde, diagonally to make two big triangles, or go really mad and cut them diagonally twice into four small triangles. How do YOU cut your sandwiches?

Making broth and other money saving meals.
It's that time of the year again and we've just made broth for the first time. As always we've made masses - I don't think you can make soup in small batches. I doubt very much there's another way, apart from stew, to create a meal out of totally fresh ingredients which is so satisfying, lasts so long and for so little…

NI Forum Book and Film Club
Does anyone think there's be any merit in asking for a sticky for a Book and Film Club? I'm always on the lookout for interesting titles to read but of late I've been finding it a bit difficult so I stand in the library for ages instead of buying good books. I'd be quite happy to share titles with people who read the same…

Garden shed near house. Issues?
If placing a standard garden shed in the back yard of a house (possibly 6'x4', made from either wood, plastic or metal) are there are regulations on how far it must be from the house? From what I've read online there laws in some places (however it was in USA I was reading about) which mean a shed can only be placed a…

Unemployed - thought of fishing trawlers?
I've been watching various shows on telly recently about fishing trawlers from various parts of the UK. This is a job I did as a young man and I was wondering if the industry was still as buoyant (no pun intended) as it was? I did a Google search and I see there is mandatory training required now - shown here. It's much…

Wood Pellet or Log boilers

Those Random Jobs around Belfast
Hi All, Ok so some of those that I'll be mentioning are not completely random but I do wonder how they're sustainable. 1. Belfast Telegraph mobile sales trolleys - These are usually manned and I just wonder how on earth people can make a living doing this? If people want a newspaper they either just read one online or call…
