What's the Parking (P) mode for an Toyota Auris automatic?
Hi all, What is the default parking mode for Toyota Auris automatic? My car has R, N, E, and M modes. Similar to this example: Usually with automatic there is a P option for parking but this doesn't have it. How do I put it in a parking mode? I read the manual but there was no real indication except use the handbreak.

looking for a up to date intelligent satnav
I've had it with my garmin nuvi 50. It's incredibly dumb and slow. For ages it didn't inform me that I could use the free woolwich ferry to get from north side to south side and instead taken me through blackwall (slow) or dartford (takes age and is a huge segue). Additionally if I miss a turn it cannot intelligent reroute…

Car goes forward when in Neutral and Reverse mode by default?
Hi all, Whenever I put my car in Neutral or Reverse it goes forward by default. I have to hit the break pedal in Neutral to stop it. And I have to press the accelerator a little to make it go in reverse in the Reverse mode. It is an automatic Toyota Auris VVT-i model. Is this supposed to happen to Toyota cars?

I'm looking for a car for me and my family that will last us a few years (5+) Should I be worried that it already has 67k on…

Planning to buy a car in cash
Hi guys, I was just wondering what the best "negotiation tactics" would be as a cash buyer if I were to goto a dealership ? I was looking to buy a used car and from what I understand, cash is actually less desirable than taking out a finance which I am not prepared to do. After speaking to a few friends, I understand that…

Hit and run courier
Hello, I'm new here. A courier driver hit my car and drove away. My car was stationary and parked outside my house on the road. There was a witness who said that the van delivered a package to my house then backed into my car smashing 2 door panels and rear wing. Then pulled forward and drove away. He managed to get half…

Do you still need to send your license away to get points added?

Overpay 99% of PCP but not settle
Hi, I'm looking at buying a Tesla and whilst I could buy cash I'm interested in their PCP deal because it has a very high GFV. My question is whether it's possible to take out the PCP deal and then immediately overpay everything except some nominal amount (eg £10) so that my monthly payments essentially go to zero (as the…

Question re right of way on a roundabout
I am curious about the right of way relating to a specific situation regarding roundabouts. When I drive to my parents, there's a specific stretch of road with a dropped pavement from someone's house, directly onto a mini roundabout. Looking online, I can't find anything in terms of who has priority. I tend to treat it the…

Replacing pads and disks
My VW Up has done over 70,000 miles and the front pads are up for replacement soon, although it passed the MOT one month ago. The disks are worn, but VW servicing made no comments about them. Is it worth going to one of these brakes and tyres places to get the pads and disks done? Or Halfords? I like the idea of having it…
