We Buy Any Car - anyone dealt with?
Hi. We have 2 cars but think we could get by with just one, so am looking to sell my car and keep the hubbys car. Its a citroen c1, only 2 years old. The guy at Citroen valued it at £5k (got really low mileage) but figure that through a private sale I wouldn't get that much. I was on the We Buy Any Car website and…

Car Air Con recharge?
Is Car Air Conditioning recharge actually worth it? And if so, where is the cheapest to get it done? How much should it cost? My car (Renault Scenic) is about 6 years old, and has never had the air con recharged. But I worry that I will spend money for no real difference. Is it worth it?

What would you class as acceptable cosmetic damage on used car?
Need some thoughts and opinions please? We've been looking for a replacement car for quite some time now and have yet to find one that has nothing wrong with it. (As in bodywork, cosmetic damage etc.) Every car has something, whether it is paintwork issues, scuffed (or worse) wheels or maybe the odd stain on interior cloth…

Minor bump - go through insurance or private?
I've had a minor bump in my van; I hit a parked car when reversing out of a space causing moderate damage to the bumper and paintwork. I've swapped insurance details with the unfortunate lady so we'll have to see how it pans out. In the meantime I'm wondering if it's worthwhile offering to fund the repair privately, or…

VW Touran ABS/ESP Recall? VW's Ticking Timebomb!
As seen on this forum and many others, VW have a very common and dangerous fault with their family car, the Touran. A sensor fails in the ABS control unit, leaving the car without the ESP function. The brakes still work but occording to VW dealerships the ABS unit could fail, and is infact an MOT failure. Unfortunately the…
