Remortgage Valuation - close to LTV bands
Hiya We bought our first home last year and will be coming up to remortgage time in Q1 of 2019. We only had a 5% deposit at the time and got a really crap rate due to credit scores. This time around our credit scores are completely clean (everything has dropped off due to the 6 year rule) and Zoopla estimate the house…

Are affordability calcs accurate?
I have plugged joint income into a calculator to see how much I could borrow, and the result is always 4.75x salary. Even if I were to earn £100k a year, at which point higher rate tax becomes payable on more than half, the proposed max borrowing is still 4.75x so £475k. Are these multiples realistic in general? I suppose…

Is it wise to go with a lender that only uses Experian?
Hi there, About to apply for a mortgage and had some questions about credit reference agencies. I know mortgage lenders don’t actually care about credit scores per se but my Experian score is 992 out of 999, whereas my Equifax score is lower (as a proportion) and my Noodle one is merely ‘good’. Equifax mentions a payment…

Hi, This is a silly question, but I need advice! We are buying off plan and house won’t be ready until “summer 19”. We now have our mortgage offer and need to send back our acceptance form. Doing this now won’t cause an issue will it? I assume the mortgage only becomes payable on completion... as I said, silly question!

Hi, I purchased 75% of a retirement flat 4yrs ago. I have now been informed that I can purchase the other 25% if I would like to. I paid £26,000.
