House deposit from dividend query

Hi

In the process of purchasing a house
Solictor is doing anti money laundering check me before reporting to lender to draw down money.

Mortgage application all fine and offered on basis of dividend income and salary

Solicitor asked for last 6 months statements for money laundering checks

In last few weeks a transfer was made from my limited company to personal account.

I’ve provided him with company accounts and accountant certificate which wasn’t provided to mortgage company during application?

I didn’t transfer the money from my limited
Company straight away into my personal current account due to the amount and thought I could either transfer it direct to solicitors
Holding account when requested but as this May flag up I moved it to my personal account.

This is a genuine dividend which has not previously been paid is this going to be a problem?

Also my wife who is a Locum consultant gets paid her consultancy work into a limited company also and at the end of the tax year the accountant calculates all drawing and works out any tax
Due for self
Certificate.
The amount she takes out monthly can vary depending on how much is required?

Obviously with a house move going on costs are higher so she has taken more in the last few months?

Will an accountants letter suffice to show this is earnings and not a directors loan

Thanks

Will depend on the lender. They may ask for a letter from your accountants to confirm that the money ca be withdrawn without it affecting the future running of the business.

As above. Lenders can be picky about this. I know of one where they would not consider dividend cannot be used for both affordability and deposit. They consider that would be including it twice.

Having said that most Lenders will run with it.

  • My accountant is happy to write a letter stating it’s a dividend and no affect of
    Solvency on the company.

I don’t get why a dividend cant be used for both affordability and deposit?
My wife is a Locum so she payed herself as a combination of salary and dividends?

So any savings towards the deposit would have been accrued from
    Previous salary and or dividends.

I understand it can’t be a company loan but if it’s retained profit
