Defaults and mortgage
Hi just looking for a bit of advice. I have a substantial default from 2011 for £8000, I'm currently paying this off monthly balance about £4000. It was for a credit card. Would an adverse mortgage lender look more favourably on me if I satisfied this in full just now or continue to pay monthly. Or does it really not…

Am I getting bad advice?
I have a question about mortgage applications, and more specifically about the hurdles underwriters put in place. It's a rather long-winded question, so my apologies for that in advance.
