Valuer Cannot Divulge Valuation
I just called the company that conducted my valuation to ask how it had come back - they then told me they cannot divulge this information and it has been sent electronically to the mortgage provider. Is this standard practice beings as I have paid (through the mortgage company) for the survey? Thanks for looking.

Right to buy mortgage and equity release
My mum (primary tenant) have been granted the right to buy our council house at a 100k discount. We would then need to get a mortgage of another 120k to purchase the property. I thought this would have been straight-forward but because my mum is 60, the maximum mortgage term most lenders will give me is 5 years (some might…

Results of survey - Advice
First time poster - We have just had the results of our survey back and it looks like the whole roof will need replacing. I understand that we can negotiate on the price but we don't have the savings to cover a full roof re-fit and the savings in stamp duty won't cover it. My question is, will the mortgage company give us…

How much deposit?
Hi, Me and my partner are thinking of selling and moving in the next year or 2. Our current home is worth roughly £100,000 - it's highly likely that we won't earn anything on the property because it's value has lowered over the past few years - thankfully we're not in negative equity! Our new home is going to be in a more…
