mortgage booking fee and LTV%
If I have 20% deposit for a house costing 200k, so I have 40k deposit. Then if I add the mortgage booking fee of £1000 to the mortgage, will I no longer have 20% deposit? I ask because this could affect the interest rate I can get?

What would you do with these mortgage options in my situation?
Hi, I'm looking for some advice. I need a large mortgage (90%) LTV and am tempted to go for a 5 year fixed at 4.79%, partly because I don't want to get affected by any interest rate rises, and partly as it means I know how much I'll be paying each month. However, the monthly payment is a lot for 5 years. The other option…

HSBC - use Countrywide for a re-mortgage, or not?
We're going to move our mortgage from Santander to HSBC. I've heard the horror stories about Countrywide and wouldn't dream of using them during a house purchase.
