Mortgage with OH as foreign national

Hi,

I am looking to get a new mortgage soon, and wondered if anyone else has got a joint mortgage with a foreign national. My wife is on a spousal visa, so is are legally allowed to live and work here, however, I am concerned a lack of credit history (not bad, just not much to go on as she has only been here for less than 3 years) would affect a joint mortgage application (and potentially mine). She does however have a DD for a mobile phone which I believe should help with credit scores.

Has anyone else been in this situation? I can probably get the mortgage just about on my own, but would be interesting to know if we could get more, as could then look at larger properties in our area. I have a good history, no missed payments etc, only student loan debt and credit cards that get paid off every month.
