Hi, I'm hitting my head against a brick wall with London and Country at the moment. My current solicitor has changed to a new company and they are not "on the panel". Giving second charge on property to my dad?
Hi All, any help would be greatly appreciated. My dad has very kindly offered to help me and my fiance buy our first house. He is giving us a sum of money towards the deposit and in return would like the second charge on the house. So, if we default on our mortgage or sell it etc, he will get his 20% investment back after…

Residential mortgage on buy to let, is it possible?
This is a hypothetical question. Can a couple that do not presently own a property buy a house with the view of renting it out, but buying it with the straightforward residential mortgage? What pros and cons are there in this situation?

Offer on house without option to change price
I am a buyer. I put an offer down on a house, and the seller has said that they will accept the offer as long as I commit not to change the offer (price) at any point in the future. Presumably they are scared of guzundering. Does this have any legal basis at all? It seems odd to me. Thanks B

With hindsight we should have just taken the hit of the higher RBS rate as we have just managed to sell our house! We now face…
