Woolwich BTL mortgage question
I am looking at the woolwich BTL mortgages. The problem is the property is in my name only (ie not including my husband). My income consists of rent, child benefit and tax credits. My husband pays for household costs except the buy to let mortgage. Will the Woolwich £20k income rule be strictly applied? (LTV will be 50% or…

Hi, I'm trying to help my Dad get a re-mortgage on an unencumbered property. He is 69 and wants to borrow £50k for about 11 years but it seems most places will only let him borrow up until 75. When we are given the monthly repayment cost how do we know what the interest element is and what the capital(loan) element is? The reason is, that at the beginning, the interest element is much bigger then the capital element ie. the debt amount? Thanks in advance!

Self employed sole director, salary multiples, and pre-tax company profit.
I'm a little worried and put off. I did a little bit of searching this afternoon, and I'm hearing that the banks will look at my salary (£6k) plus my tax-free dividend (£20k), when looking at what they will lend me. It is my accountant's view (and I agree), that they should be looking at my salary plus the pre-tax profits…
