i have opened a skipton account and nationwide account to save for a mortgage. i currently pay £600 pm onto my credit union which isn't taxed. would this be better split 50/50 between the two accounts that i might apply for a mortgage to show I am able to save/have extra money each month and so look favourably at application time?

Although it may not be deducted at source, any return paid by a credit union is taxable. You need to declare it.i currently pay £600 pm onto my credit union which isn't taxed0
