Thinking of remortgaging.....
Hi, I am currently with Abbey standard variable rate of 4.24% and I was offered by the same lender a tracker deal for 2.49% + BOE (0.5%) for 2 years or fixed 2 years for 3.79%. Both have £125 booking fee. What do you guys think, should I choose a deal now or just stay with my current rate? Thank you in advance.

Will bank check my employment status for remortgage?
Hi All After 21 years as an Analyst Programmer at the same company, I was made redundant and left full time employment in December 2008. For the last 5 years I had also been analysing horseracing data in my own time and making a good second income from betting. Since my redundancy I have made this my full time “job” and…

Fixed or Tracker??
Hi, My boyfriend and I have a 10% deposit over a £150,000 house. The best offer we've seen is an RBS 5 year fixed mortgage at 6.39% (5.2% APR) with no product fee, which gives us monthly repayments of around £900. We wouldn't have much spare cash on top of this initially, so thought that it would be best to be have the…

Temporary switch to interest only?
I currently have an £85k mortgage on a property that was worth £110k at the last valuation. After a fixed rate ended I'm on Abbey's SVR at 4.24% There is 25 years left on the mortgage and I've not overpaid at any point, it is not a joint mortgage. Given the high LTV I'm currently sitting on the high SVR for now as I don't…

Joint Mortgage
I have recently split with my boyfriend. We have a mortgage together from July 2007 and I am looking to take him off the mortgage as I would like to stay in the house for the foreseeable future. Matured Endowment, keep going or cash in?
Hi, I have a couple of endowments which aren't secured against a mortgage. One, an abbey life policy will mature next month. As of last friday it was valued at about 40% less than it's target figure. Should I resist the temptation to grab the money and run or should I continue untill the share values have risen?
