MVRs were reduced in October. Apart from last week, there wasnt much movement between October and December so the lack of change is not a surprise and shouldn't be expected. The the recent run continues then you will expect that to show in the coming months.
I didnt see it as disappointing but exactly what was expected.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Final Bonus Rates
- For unitised life and pension policies, final bonus rates are up slightly and some market value reductions have been adjusted so that overall payouts have either slightly increased or remained the same.
- For conventional life and pensions (including endowments), some final bonus rates have reduced and some have increased.
They have taken their final bonus table off their website.0 -
What does this mean for my Norwich union endowment does it mean that even with the stock market recovery my final bonus might reduce.
Old fashioned conventional plans tend to alter their bonuses once a year. They are a bit like oil tankers in their reactions to events. So, you often find a lag on these which means they dont go down as quickly as unit linked plans but then they dont go up as quickly afterwards.
Unitised plans react much quicker. Final bonus rates on these can in theory change daily. Often you find revisions kick in a little less frequent than that but monthly changes are not uncommon. Although announcements are not normally made when they do. It just happens behind the scenes.
So, what yours will do will depend on whether its unitised with profits, conventional with profits or unit linked.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I beleive it's conventional and they reduced them twice last year once in Jan and once in July
I thought it was this bonus chart that used to be here http://www.aviva.co.uk/bonus/lifefinbonus/0 -
Why have Aviva removed the final bonus tables so quickly from their website?0
