90% LTV Offset
Hi All, I have just been on the phone to Clydesdale who are offering an Offset Mortgage with an LTV of 90%, the rate is 5.14% SVR. Can anyone think of any other lenders that might offer the same as not sure if using a SVR is any good idea. Any info will be most welcome.

Euro mortgage in Spain: pay off lump sum or what?
I have a very high mortgage with a bank in Spain, in Euros, which I had to take out to buy a property over there in 2006. Obviously that was at the height of the selling frenzy and property selling is currently almost impossible, without significant loss. The value of the property is now two thirds of what I paid for it…

Will SVR be dropped from mortgage taken out 2 years ago?
I took out a 2 year fixed rate mortgage with Nationwide at 5.58% which comes to an end in June 2009 and on the paper work it said after the 2 years we would then pay the SVR at 7%. As the SVR has dropped since then will that apply to me or will I have to pay at the agreed SVR (7%)?

Nationwide Tracker - incorrect new payment?
I received the "notice of mortgage rate change" from the Nationwide today and was surprised the repayment had reduced by so little - given the new rate was 3.33% down from 4.83%. Checking the previous rates and payments and calculating (literally) on the back of the envelope, I'd say the payment is not based on the 3.33%…

Is it best to overpay on tracker now interest rates are low??
Just a quickie! Me and hubby have just bought a house at 106k. We secured a tracker with Britannia which tracks at 0.85 above base rate. We are due to make first payment on mortgage in dec. Nationwide mortgage problem
This seems a bit amazing. In September I asked Nationwide about a new tracker mortgage after my old one was running out. I was given an offer and was told it would be viable for 3 months. I wanted to stay on the SVR for a while as I wanted to pay off a large portion of the loan amount. Last week I paid off another lump sum…

Jump or wait?
Briefly, fixed 5.29% deal comes to an end in Jan. Currently lender offering another 3 years fixed at 5.34% with no fees. Have made an application for the HSBC BoE+0.99% tracker which I have the option of taking for another week. This would save me about £66 a month over my current payments (or the new 3 year deal from…

mis-selling from broker?
I recently (late Sept) took out a new mortgage, thru’ a broker, with Birmingham Midshires. I have a fixed rate mortgage at just under 6% tied in for 2.75 years. Obviously as the mortgage was being finalised and since, mortgage rates have plummeted and are going to go considerably lower by all accounts. My predictable…

Name and Shame Stingy Mortgage Providers
Not only has my mortgage provider, Leeds & Holbeck, not yet passed on the massive 1.5% Bank of England rate drop from the beginning of this month, it hasn't even passed on the 0.5% cut from October. This is what they told me when I enquired (again) this month: Grrrrr. Anyone else out there either still waiting to hear some…

I have had a variable rate mortgage with First Direct for about 10 years now. Before the base rate was reduced by 1.5% a few weeks ago, my interest rate on my mortgage was 5.5%. It is STILL 5.5% as First Direct hasnt reduced the mortgage interest rate at all, but they immediately reduced the savings rate by the full 1.5%…

What happens if I can't get any remortgage deals?
Hello all, I bought a place with my dad as a joint owner, we paid a £28,000 deposit and took a mortgage with Abbey for £250,000. My dad earned £50,000 a year where as I only earned £24,000.
