Mortgage and credit rating
Hi. In the light of the hassle from June - getting "the home information pack", and the subsequent hassle of selling the house, I wonder if it makes sense to do the following. 1. Upgrade the mortgage to the value of the house 2. Return the house to the bank. If it is practical, then you dont need the home information pack,…

I switched mortgages last year from Northern Rock to Lloyds TSB. Looking at the NR redemption statement, it says Discharge of Mortgage Fee £250 and early redemption charge £1140. Which of these can I claim for? Just the discharge fee, or both? Any advice much appreciated, thanks.

Can they get a mortgage?
My friend takes home about £1100 per month. They have no outgoings. Are there lenders out there who will look at afffordability and not earnings multiples to decide whether to lend, possibly on a buy to let basis. They will have a deposit of between 10-20% depending on the purchase price of the property. Any thoughts?

Mortgage Fees: cross posted from House Buying Forum
Hi, I've read with interest the current battle that some mortgage payers are having with their lenders regarding exit fees. Homeowners won the right to claim back fees that were not included in the original mortgage contract, but imposed afterwards. I have a slightly different issue, but on the same theme. I have just…
