Alliance and Leicester .........give me strength!

Options
I recently remortgaged with the AL basically increasing my mortgage and using the extra to pay off other debts and do some major home improvements. I was with the AL before and tied in for 4 years.
After been sat in the branch for 3 hours with every piece of paperwork neceassary and been offered a rate of 5.09 fixed for 5 yrs. I was reasonably happy The advisor phoned up head office and all seemed well.
10 days later a letter saying "Sorry but ...........no chance" even though i hadnt missed any payments in the last 4 years and didnt have anyone chasing me for money.
Basically i went back to the branch and created hell. and after a call to head office by the advisor the reason................."Admiinstration error sorry"
Just wondering how many others have been shown the door when they shouldnt have
These people are basically controliing lives at the end of the day
End of the day looks like me securing 5.09 was in my favour as i see now its somewhat more.
